Red T-Tunic
updated ?

My second tunic based on Mistress Aelfwynn Gyrthesdohtor's class on the Skjoldehamn tunic (the first can be seen here). I wanted a red garment for a specific event, so I opted to make myself another T-tunic. I believe this was made from the 55% Linen/45% Rayon fabric (I believe the color is Biking Red) from Jo-Ann.

This time I made some adjustments, and it turned out much better than the first one! I cut the body piece much closer to my actual measurements. I did all the ironing I didn't do on the first one, first to get the fabric flat and then along all the seams. I was also intrigued by the concept of rotating the sleeves so that the gusset is in the back rather than under the arm, so I gave it a try (I forgot, however, than sleeves in this style are usually set in which requires cutting the correct shape into the bodice, which I did not do).

I added black double fold bias tape around the collar and used the remainder as a belt. I'm thinking about changing the collar to something else - perhaps a blue trim or facing to make it my barony's colors.
