Red Early Period Tunic for Vytautas
updated ?

Early 2015: My partner, Lord Vytautas Vilkas, needed some garb for Gem Joust, our barony's biggest annual event. He got this lovely pair of plaid hand-me-down pants, as you can see in the photo below. I wanted to make a tunic that would complement them.

I took a trip to Jo-Ann and picked up some of their 55% Linen/45% Rayon fabric (I believe the color is Biking Red) and some of this trim called "1-1/4" Victorian Band".

I followed the same pattern for this tunic as I did for my First T-Tunic, from Mistress Aelfwynn Gyrthesdohtor's class and handouts on the Skjoldehamn tunic.

The trim is placed around the neckline (which I cut much too large, as usual), the cuffs, and the hem. The seams are unfinished, and at this point it needs some repairs!
